George Cochran
3-Time World Bass Champion Endorses Wild River
“This is the first of its kind. I thought I’d seen it all, but I’ve never seen anything like a Tackle Tek bag.”
George Cochran grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He spent his early childhood fishing off the family's backyard boat dock and later fishing from a johnboat in the small lakes of Lakewood subdivision. A neighbor, Pete Jaworski, taught George’s most important fishing and hunting lessons to him. Pete taught George how to be patient, to fish and hunt methodically. The two were a team hunting and fishing together for forty years. These early chapters of George's life instilled the love and desire of being in the outdoors.
Fishing professionally for thirty years, George now competes in the FLW tournaments. Some of his past accomplishments include winning the Bass Master Classic Championship in 1987 and 1996, and the FLW Forrest Wood Cup Championship in 2005. George loves his professions and loves competing.
George Cochran is one of the most versatile and knowledgeable fishermen on the professional bass fishing circuit. Living close to Lake Hamilton and Lake Ouachita, George is now offering guided fishing trips.
Edwin Evers “E2”
Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Endorses Wild River
“I’m glad to be part of the Wild River team because they take fishing as seriously as I do.”
Edwin Evers’ lifelong dream was to pursue a career doing what he was most passionate about. A dream that started as a boy growing up in Texas, and grew stronger as he attended college near Lake Texoma, Oklahoma.
At age five, he was hookin’ crappies and catfish with his mom. In college, he was charging down the field as a running back for Southeastern Oklahoma State University. But it wasn’t until 2000 when the world took notice of Edwin Evers and his ability to hook big bass.
Watching the Bassmaster Classic on television and reading about the profession in magazines is really what got Edwin interested in testing the waters as a professional bass fisherman. A serious competitor at heart, once he dropped his line, it was the thrill of the competition that really hooked him. And he’s been full steam ahead ever since. In his professional career, Edwin has placed in the top ten in over 37 tournaments including the Bassmaster Classic, Elite Series and Citgo Bassmaster tours. Edwin Evers is entering his eleventh season as a professional with aspirations for another big year.
